Harlequin two piece

Photos by Sarah Foreman
Harlequin Print Top & Skirt, USC
Shoes, H&M
Ever since this two piece arrived last week I've been dying to get out and take some pictures of it! I was so busy last week that I didn't actually get a chance till Friday to take any with my friend Sarah and with the bank holiday weekend I've only just got round to posting them! I think this is possibly the cheapest top and skirt I've ever bought with the set costing me a grand total of £10 down from £30 in the USC sale! There are still a few sizes left, but at that price they probably won’t be around for long, so if you want one I’d grab it now!

I’m a big fan of the two piece trend, however this harlequin set is actually the first one I’ve purchased. It' s taken me a while to find a set I really like and I fell in love with this one via Instagram. I think Instagram is great for discovering new fashion labels and bloggers and I could easily spend all day on it mesmerised by people’s pictures. I haven’t actually worn this out yet and I was thinking about wearing it for my boyfriend’s birthday next week, but I’m not quite sure if it’s ‘special’ enough if you know what I mean! When I do wear it I will definitely stick to monochrome accessories and pair it with my black H&M strappy sandals, as seen in the picture and my roll down Zara clutch.

Hope you all had a lovely bank holiday weekend :)

Here are a few pictures of what I wore to SW4 festival yesterday.  It was pouring with rain outside so I managed to grab a few pictures before I got totally washed away!

Skater dress, American Apparel
Wellies, Hunter
Bumbag, eBay
Gold necklace, River Island
I couldn't decide whether to wear wellies or not and boy am I glad I did!!  It didn't stop raining all day and it was so muddy at the festival! This is only a short post as I'm trying to nurse a very bad hangover :( but I'm going to try and post a few outfits this week so keep your eyes peeled!
Have a great bank holiday weekend!

Duuun dun duuun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun…… I can’t help but play the Jaws song over and over in my head every time I look at this t-shirt!

If you’re familiar with Givenchy’s popular Rottweiler t-shirt, you may have noticed the new sharp toothed animal of choice hanging around on the front of Kanye West and Professor Green’s chest’s lately.

There’s no denying sharks are cool, albeit terrifying, creatures, but after a hysterical episode involving a rubber shark on the Jaws ride in Florida when I was eight, I never thought I could look at another shark again let alone wear one!  But I've got a bit of thing for statement and graphic tees at the moment and this little guy fits right in.

Before you wonder, no this isn’t actually a ‘real’ Givenchy and if you want one of those you’ll have to pay about £170. I however, got this near identical number on eBay which is the number one place to go if you want to buy designer trends without the heavy price tag.

Speaking of eBay, I also managed to get this clear clutch from eBay a few months ago when I was looking for some Perspex and transparent goods.  Excuse the state of it, I didn’t realise it was quite that dirty until I uploaded the pictures!

M&S Summer dress styling competition

Limited Edition Paisley Print Tunic Dress, M&S £27
Orange bikini, Topshop £21
Gold necklace, H&M £7.99
Gold scrunchie, River Island £5
Raybans, Sunglass Hut £98
White leather backpack, Asos £33
Blue Juju jellies
If you’re not aware, M&S are running a Summer Dress styling competition for bloggers with the chance to win £200 in vouchers to put towards a capsule M&S holiday wardrobe. All you have to do to is show them how you would style your favourite summer dress for your dream holiday destination and also pick your favourite dress from their collection.

When it comes to packing dresses for my holiday, I normally go for two styles – body con and tight to glam up in the evening, or baggy to throw on over a bikini in the day. I’m not really a fan of maxi dresses, especially on holiday they're far too hot!

I’ve picked a dress that would be perfect for both my summer holiday and also an essential for my dream holiday destination, Thailand! I would wear this tunic over a bright orange bikini as the light material and loose fit means it would keep me cool whilst I’m taking in the sights during the day. It’s also easy to whip off when the heat gets too much and I need to dive in to the crystal blue sea to cool off! I would pair it with some comfy blue JuJu jellies, a white leather backpack for all my tourist essentials and pull my hair off my face with a 90’s gold scrunchie to keep cool. As Thailand is known for its legendary beach parties I would keep a gold necklace and dressy watch in my bag to add a little bit of glam for the evening so I don't waste any valuable time by going back to the hotel and getting changed. And, with a spritz of Bumble & Bumble surf hair spray and some summer perfume, I would be ready to party the night away!

The competition ends tomorrow (21st August) at midnight, so if you want to enter hurry!

Oriental Jacket

If you walked in to any high street store today it wouldn’t take you long to realise that Oriental inspired fashion is everywhere at the moment! From colourful floral prints to Kenzo inspired tiger heads, it’s safe to say the East has well and truly arrived in the West!

I’ve been after an Oriental jacket ever since I fell in love with one in Zara, however I couldn’t bring myself to pay the £70 price tag at the time. I was so happy when I found out it was in the sale, but by the time I got to my local Zara and found it online it was sold out! Boooo L

So, you can imagine my delight when I was casually strolling around Primark yesterday and saw this little baby just hanging around. I instantly loved the print and it’s a good quality jacket considering it was only £15! I’ve paired it with a plain white body and my Zara jeans and added another pop of colour with my red heels.

Blazer, Primark
Body, American Apparel
Jeans, Zara
Shoes, Primark
