New in | Desert Boots

Jumper, Zara (last year)
Jeans, Zara
Boots, Primark (current)

Just a quick post to show you these desert boots that I picked up in Primark last week. I debated buying the Clarks original desert boots last year, but in the end couldn’t face parting with the £90 needed to buy them. So, when I spotted these in Primark for only £18 I picked up a size 6 straight away. £18 for a pair of shoes is such a bargain, especially when they’re real leather! They are so comfy and teamed with a pair of thick socks they keep my feet nice and toasty. I wore them yesterday with this lilac Zara knit and jeans.

Beauty | Make-up Haul

I’ve never been one of these girls to obsess over the latest beauty brands, or products. I’ve discovered what make-up works best for my skin and I tend to wear the same products every day. But lately, I’ve been getting a bit bored by what I’m applying and how I'm applying it. So, earlier this week I decided it was time for a change and I browsed my favourite beauty blogs for some advice on what products to invest in before heading to my local Boots.

Sleek is a brand that cropped up a lot during my research, so I decided to see what all the fuss is about. I bought the Corrector & Concealer palette, which consists of a corrector, a concealer and a setting powder. I went for the palette with the pink shade of corrector, as apparently it’s good for hiding dark circles – something I definitely need to do and I can safely say it works a treat. It was 3 for 2, so I also picked up the Sleek Bare Skin Foundation in the hope that it might be similar to the Bare Minerals Bare Skin one, which I’ve heard a lot about. I haven’t worn a liquid foundation in a while as I used to find that they made my skin feel a bit greasy, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how light this one feels on my skin. It also gives a great level of coverage without feeling like it's caked on.

Real Techniques are the creame de la creme of make-up brushes and after seeing how soft and fluffy they looked, I was sold. And they most definitely didn’t disappoint. I purchased the core collection, which includes a pointed foundation brush, buffing brush, contour brush and a detailer brush and together they allow you to create the perfect base.

Ever since Kim Kardashian showed the world how she contours, everyone has become obsessed by it - including me! I noticed this Seventeen Contour Kit and decided to give it a go in the hope that it would help me look just Kim.  Hey, a girl can dream. It definitely does it’s job, but I feel like you have to apply quite a lot of the dark powder to notice any real difference.

My next make-up mission is to find the perfect eye products, so if you've got any recommendations let me know!

Autumn Wishlist

Autumn Wishlist

I can't believe it's September already. This year has actually flown by and it's defo going to be Christmas before we even know it. Although I really am dreading the thought of Christmas and waving goodbye to another year, September is actually my favourite month of them all. I love autumn and everything that comes with it, including the fashion. I've already started dreaming of what camel coat and chunky knits I'm going to buy and don't get me started on capes. I want them all. Here are a few of the items currently on my wishlist.
